The Role

Everything at Float is AI-first. We are born AI-first, our product is AI-first and so should how we work internally also be. You will own the end-to-end GTM motion: Defining market segments, refining value proposition, building the sales & marketing engine, enabling onboarding and success — and driving revenue. You will work cross-functionally with the co-founders — but the ownership of "how we reach customers and deliver value" sits with you. This is the first commercial hire in the GTM domain, so we need someone who's comfortable building from zero, taking strong initiative, and thriving in a fast-moving startup.

What You'll Do

  • Define and prioritise target segments (homeowners, EV-charging, smart-home integrators, etc.), map buyer personas and establish product-market fit
  • Craft and own the value proposition, messaging and positioning for the AI/IoT offering
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy: channel mix (direct, partnerships, OEMs), sales process, pricing model, launch plan
  • Build and manage the full funnel: demand generation → lead qualification → deal closing → onboarding → upsell/retention
  • Equip and enable sales/partner teams with collateral, training, dashboard, CRM and process
  • Interface cross-functionally to ensure product, marketing, customer success and operations are aligned for launch success and ongoing scale
  • Establish, track and optimise KPIs (CAC, LTV, conversion funnels, churn, pipeline velocity, etc.)
  • Iterate rapidly based on market feedback, performance data and external competitive/market signals
  • Own GTM budget, resource allocation and forecasting in collaboration with leadership

What We're Looking For

  • 5–10+ years of GTM, product-marketing, sales-enablement or commercial leadership — preferably early-stage (Seed/Series A) startup
  • Proven track record of launching products, building commercial motion from scratch. (It's a plus if you've sold into homeowners or energy/EV/IoT segments.)
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution skills: comfortable doing both "what to do" and "doing it"
  • Strong analytical rigor: you can define metrics, measure performance, iterate. Familiar with funnel metrics, financial levers and go-to-market modeling
  • Excellent communicator and influencer: able to work across product, tech, marketing, sales, operations
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to work independently and make key decisions
  • A collaborative but decisive leader — you build consensus but are accountable for outcomes
  • Experience with partner / channel sales is a plus. Experience in fast-growing startups is a plus.
